What POS extensions do
- Customer lookup — staff can search Omneo profiles by name, email, mobile, or loyalty card from within the POS interface
- Transaction attribution — completed sales are pushed to Omneo as transactions, triggering points, aggregation updates, and reactions
- Incentive redemption — reward balances and benefit entitlements are surfaced in the POS, enabling redemption at the point of purchase
- Profile creation — new profiles can be created from the POS during the checkout process
- Returns — return transactions are captured and points/rewards are adjusted accordingly
Supported POS platforms
Omneo has established integrations with a number of leading retail POS platforms including Apparel21, Retail Directions, Cin7, and others. Integration approach varies by platform — contact your implementation partner for platform-specific guidance.Transaction flow at POS
- Customer presents at checkout
- Cashier searches Omneo for the customer (by name, email, mobile, or card scan)
- POS calls Omneo API to retrieve the profile’s incentive balances
- If the customer wishes to redeem, the redemption is processed
- After payment is finalised, the POS posts the transaction to Omneo
- Omneo processes the transaction: updates aggregations, issues points, fires reactions
