Omneo integrates directly with in-store POS (point-of-sale) and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems to attach transactions to customer profiles in real or near-real time, and to enable incentive redemption at the register.

What POS extensions do

  • Customer lookup — staff can search Omneo profiles by name, email, mobile, or loyalty card from within the POS interface
  • Transaction attribution — completed sales are pushed to Omneo as transactions, triggering points, aggregation updates, and reactions
  • Incentive redemption — reward balances and benefit entitlements are surfaced in the POS, enabling redemption at the point of purchase
  • Profile creation — new profiles can be created from the POS during the checkout process
  • Returns — return transactions are captured and points/rewards are adjusted accordingly

Supported POS platforms

Omneo has established integrations with a number of leading retail POS platforms including Apparel21, Retail Directions, Cin7, and others. Integration approach varies by platform — contact your implementation partner for platform-specific guidance.

Transaction flow at POS

  1. Customer presents at checkout
  2. Cashier searches Omneo for the customer (by name, email, mobile, or card scan)
  3. POS calls Omneo API to retrieve the profile’s incentive balances
  4. If the customer wishes to redeem, the redemption is processed
  5. After payment is finalised, the POS posts the transaction to Omneo
  6. Omneo processes the transaction: updates aggregations, issues points, fires reactions
