What eCommerce extensions do
- Customer acquisition: capture new profiles when a customer creates an account or checks out
- Transaction attribution: push completed orders to Omneo as transactions, triggering points and reactions
- Incentive redemption: surface reward and benefit balances at checkout for redemption
- Authentication: authenticate known customers on the storefront via Shopify Proxy or SFCC proxy
- Profile sync: keep contact details and preferences in sync between Omneo and the eCommerce platform
The Shopify Proxy
The Omneo CX Shopify app exposes an authenticated proxy that issues short-lived, customer-scoped ID Proxy tokens to Liquid themes and App UI Extensions. This lets storefront code call the Omneo SDK without exposing a long-lived API key.
