Profiles
An Omneo profile is a customer's primary resource to store personalization, orders, communication preferences, and other key brand data.
How is this data synced to Shopify?
When a profile is created, Omneo will attempt to resolve the profile by their Shopify identifier, and then by email.
If neither is found, a new customer is created in Shopify.
By default, Omneo selects the best fields to sync over to your Shopify store. This can be overridden manually as needed by setting a custom mapping.
Profile Settings
Identity Handle
Specify the handle of identities in Omneo.
This identity is used to link profiles back and forth between Omneo and Shopify.
In most cases, this can be left blank to accept the Omneo default.
It is important to note that once profiles begin syncing to and from Shopify, they will be linked with the Identity at the time of creation.
Because of this, if the Identity Handle is changed in the settings, these links will be broken and duplicated Shopify profiles may be created.
Tag Whitelist
Specify a whitelist of tags that you'd like to sync from Shopify to Omneo.
This can be useful if you collect various tags against a Shopify customer but would only like a specific subset of these tags to be eligible to sync to Omneo.
Tag Prefix
Set a custom prefix to use when syncing tags from an Omneo Profile to a Shopify Customer.
This can be used to differentiate the tags synced from Omneo so they are easily distinguishable.
The default tag prefix is cx-
.
Mapping
Specify a customized mapping that will be used to override the default mapping to and from Shopify.

Orders
An Omneo order relates to an unfinished order in Shopify.
Orders in Omneo are usually updated and changed over time. These are different from Omneo Transactions, which remain static once created.
By setting the transaction order status, you can specify at what status a Shopify order becomes a transaction in Omneo.

Transaction Order Status
Choose a Shopify order status. When syncing an order from Shopify to Omneo, if the Shopify order is greater than or equal to the configured status, it is created in Omneo as a transaction.
Mapping
Specify a customized mapping that will be used to override the default mapping to and from Shopify.

Products
Omneo products are synced from external systems and are used primarily to enhance the customer experience
by powering eReceipts, wishlists, orders, and transactions.
Product Settings
Product Sync Level
Select the level of product sync to Omneo.
You can select to sync products at a Header level or a Variant level.
In almost all cases, this should be left as the default (Header) level syncing.
Header level will reconcile existing products in Omneo by their parent product and upsert accordingly.
Variant level will reconcile each variant individually when syncing to Omneo and find a matching product.
Product Mapping
Specify a customized mapping for Product parents that will be used to override the default mapping to and from Shopify.

Product Variant Mapping
Specify a customized mapping for Product Variants that will be used to override the default mapping to and from Shopify.
Each individual variant against the parent product will be mapped according to this mapping.

Locations
Location Settings
Deleted Location Destination
When an Omneo location is deleted, the linked Shopify location data must be preserved against another Shopify location.
This field specifies the Shopify location to use as this destination location for deleted locations.
This is required to properly remove a Location in Shopify.
Mapping Fields
You can choose how your Omneo data is used to create or update customers in Shopify by specifying a custom mapping.
For example, if you'd like to set the Omneo order number to equal the value of the Shopify order name, you could specify this as a custom mapping.
Only specified mappings will override the defaults. If a mapping is not specified, Omneo will use the default.
Point of Sale
Manage Omneo tile and block settings displayed on Shopify POS.
Language
Each tile contains a language setting that can be used to specify the visible wording of various elements within the tile or block.
Manage Comms Tile
This tile is used to view and manage customer communication preferences stored within Omneo from Shopify POS.
Communication preferences determine a customer's eligibility to be communicated with via various channels.
Redemptions Tile
This tile is used to view and redeem rewards or benefits a customer has against their profile.
Search Tile
This tile can be used by staff to quickly search for a customer within Omneo and display them on the POS.
When a value is scanned by QR code or barcode, Omneo attempts to find profiles that are linked to the scanned value.
For example, if you've chosen to sync physical customer loyalty card info with Omneo, you could scan this value in-store and have it bring up the attached Omneo profile.
Customer Aggregation Block
This is a block displayed on the customer screen within the Shopify POS.
This is a great way to view Omneo profile aggregations such as favorite store, total spend, and monthly spend at a glance from within the POS.
Clienteling
Store staff can view Omneo clienteling from within Shopify POS.
Select this tile to bring up the currently attached customer in Clienteling, or if no customer is attached, search and attach a customer within Clienteling and have it brought up on Shopify POS.

Timezone
This is the master timezone used for all date calculations within Omneo.
