Creating and Managing Users
User Permissions
Understanding user permissions is important when creating or managing users in CX Manager.
Each user is assigned a Role, and that Role has a set of permissions that allow it access to features, or limit the access that user has to certain features within CX Manager.
Admin
This is the Role you should assign to anyone who you want to have full capabilities within CX Manager, they are given read, write, update and delete permissions to all things accessible within the CX Manager platform.
Manager
This Role group only has read, update, and delete permissions, meaning you should assign this role to someone who you want to be able to view data within CX Manager, update existing profiles, products or configurations, but not write/set new data or configurations. Note that if this user logs in to Clienteling, they will still be able to create profiles, making this Role group a perfect candidate for anyone who is going to be exclusively using Clienteling and not CX Manager.
Reporting
This Role group only has access to read permissions, and can therefore not update or add new information, data or configurations to CX manager. As the name suggests, this Role group can be assigned to a user you set up to exclusively generate reports from Omneo data and insights.
Machine
This Role group should not be assigned to any human users, as it is exclusively for integrations requiring an active User account & password.
Creating a new user
In CX Manager, navigate to settings, and then users.
Here you will be able to enter the name, email, assign permissions, and set the password for the user.
Please note, we have a minimum 32 password limit on user creation. Passwords must be secure, and must be securely stored for security reasons.
