New features
- Redesigned sync dashboard. A new dashboard for managing your data syncs. Track sync coverage for orders, products, and locations, view detailed reports for each job, and retry any failed items. Includes fine-grained management and analysis of sync progress for products, profiles, orders, and locations, alongside a major overhaul of the sync UI.
- Location sync support. Sync your physical store locations between platforms, ensuring data consistency for features like click-and-collect and inventory management.
- Live “What’s new” feed. Stay informed with a live changelog feed right in your dashboard. New updates are highlighted so you never miss a new feature or improvement.
Improvements
- Smarter syncing. Data sync processes are more reliable, with improved error handling, a higher number of orders that can be processed at once, and enhanced syncing of order sources and locations.
- Enhanced refund processing. Syncing refunds is more reliable. Refund data mapping has been improved, and refunds for shipping-only costs or for products deleted from your store are now handled correctly.
- Better error reporting. Overhauled logging and error reporting systems provide more detail, helping our team resolve issues faster.
- UI enhancements. Polished the user interface on the sync detail pages for better readability and a smoother user experience.
Bug fixes
- Fixed several issues with applying rewards at checkout, so customers no longer see stale reward information, have a valid reward incorrectly cleared, or encounter errors when applying points to their cart.
- Resolved a bug that could cause customer status tags to be duplicated during the sync between Omneo and Shopify.
- Corrected various issues in background job and sync processes, including fixes for handling customers without email addresses, ensuring correct data types for location IDs, and improving bulk order syncs.
New features
- A fresh new look for Admin and POS. A major interface update for the embedded Shopify admin and Shopify POS surfaces, with a more modern, intuitive, and streamlined experience.
- Credits and gift cards. Customers can now use Omneo credits and gift cards in the app, giving brands more flexible payment and reward options at checkout.
- Stack your discounts. Multiple discounts can now be applied to a single checkout, unlocking more promotional combinations.
Improvements
- Smarter bulk sync. Bulk synchronisation now handles refunds and produces more accurate tax calculations.
- Enhanced product sync. Product and order data mapping is significantly more reliable, and products deleted in Shopify are now correctly marked as deleted in Omneo.
- Better privacy controls. When a customer unsubscribes they’re now fully opted out of all communications. We’re adding more ways to ensure consent and privacy information that is synced between systems matches the intent of the customers and needs of the brand.
- Reliable order search. Order lookup now falls back to searching by receipt reference, so existing orders are matched even when primary identifiers don’t line up.
- More efficient location fetching. Retrieving Omneo location data is faster and more reliable.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where a product’s compare at price could incorrectly display as
$0in the Shopify admin. - Loyalty benefits that can’t be redeemed no longer appear at checkout.
- Resolved an issue that could cause authentication failures when fetching benefits during checkout.
- Addressed a sync error introduced in the previous version.
- Strengthened the connection to Shopify’s latest APIs to ensure continued smooth operation.
