# Setting up the Indigo 8 extension

> What to supply, which settings to configure in CX Manager, and how the import schedule, Profile webhooks, and delegated Profile creation are connected.

Omneo installs the Indigo 8 extension for your tenant. Your part is to supply the Indigo 8 account details, choose the settings below, and confirm which imports should run.

## Before you start

Have these ready:

| Item | Where it comes from |
| - | - |
| Indigo 8 subdomain | Indigo 8. Your system's address is `https://[subdomain].i8system.com`, and only the subdomain is needed. |
| Indigo 8 API key | Indigo 8. |
| Which imports to run | Your brand. Contacts, products, and invoices run by default. Sales orders are available on request. |
| Store and fulfilment locations (optional) | Created in CX Manager. Omneo creates any location it cannot match, so this is only needed if you want to control names and details. See [Location matching](/extensions/indigo8/profile-sync#location-matching). |

## Settings

Configure the extension in CX Manager under **Settings > Plugins > Indigo8**:

| Setting | Description |
| - | - |
| `enabled` | Turns the extension on or off for your tenant. Imports and Profile pushes stop while this is `false`. |
| `subdomain` | Your Indigo 8 subdomain, without `.i8system.com`. |
| `api_key` | Your Indigo 8 API key. |
| `mapping` | Optional extra field mappings, applied on top of the defaults. See [Custom field mapping](/extensions/indigo8/transaction-mapping#custom-field-mapping). |

Omneo adds these settings for you when they are needed:

| Setting | Description |
| - | - |
| `identity_handle` | The Identity handle that links a Profile to its Indigo 8 contact. Defaults to `indigo8`. |
| `exclude_email_pattern` | Contacts whose email address contains this text are not imported. For example, `@yourbrand.com` skips staff accounts. |
| `exclude_fulfillment_ids` | A comma-separated list of Indigo 8 fulfilment location IDs. Invoices from these locations are not imported. |
| `delegate_client_secret` | Needed only for delegated Profile creation. Omneo sets it. |

<Note>
  Settings changes are not picked up instantly. Tell your Omneo contact when you change a setting so they can apply it.
</Note>
