# Managing Profiles in CX Manager

> How to search, view, edit, and manage customer profiles in Omneo CX Manager.

CX Manager is the primary administrative interface for Omneo. The Profiles section lets you search and manage any customer in your database.

## Searching for a profile

Use the search bar at the top of the Profiles section. Search supports:

* Full name (first name, last name, or both)
* Email address
* Mobile phone number
* Membership card number (if configured as an identity)

Search is powered by Algolia and is typo-tolerant, you do not need an exact match.

## Profile detail tabs

Each profile has several tabs:

| Tab              | What it shows                                                              |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Details**      | Core profile fields: name, email, phone, address, DOB, tags                |
| **Transactions** | Transaction history with dates, totals, and locations                      |
| **Incentives**   | Current reward balance, point balance, tier, active benefits, achievements |
| **Attributes**   | Comms preferences, appearance attributes, custom attributes                |
| **Identities**   | External system IDs linked to this profile                                 |

## Editing a profile

Select **Edit** on any profile to update fields. You can update:

* Name, email, phone
* Date of birth
* Address
* Comms preferences (opt-in/opt-out)
* Tags
* Appearance attributes

Some fields (like aggregations and incentive balances) are computed and cannot be directly edited.

## Manually issuing an incentive

From the **Incentives** tab, use the issue controls to:

* Issue a reward (dollar value)
* Issue a benefit (select from a definition)
* Award points

Manual issuance creates a record in the profile's incentive history and can be audited.

## Viewing transaction history

The **Transactions** tab shows all transactions attributed to this profile. Select any transaction to view line items, payment methods, the location, and any redemptions applied.

## Profile notes

Some implementations enable a notes field on profiles for CS staff to add free-text notes. These are internal and not visible to customers.
